I love words, so you don’t have to
Hi, I’m Larissa. I’m a journalist, editor and digital producer with more than 20 years’ experience in the media. This includes a decade at The Age, where I was part of the digital team and also spent a couple of fast-paced years as editor of the national small business section.
While I was interviewing entrepreneurs and managing a dozen or so freelancers, I realised I very much liked the thought of running my own writing business like they were, from wherever I pleased (hammocks are not as ergonomically sound as one might imagine).
After roaming around the world with my laptop for a good while, I’m now based on Victoria’s Surf Coast, where a beach walk or surf sure does make a great morning tea break.
My favourite part of being a writer has always been meeting people from all walks of life, and asking them a lot of questions.
These days, I also bring stories to life for brands, businesses, and organisations such as universities, while dreaming of my next travel adventure and eating far too many Mint Slices (also not averse to Tim Tams).
I know some people hate writing and editing, but I happen to love it. Maths, maps and flat packs on the other hand - not so much.
I’m here to take the pain out of your writing project, and make it a fun experience you’ll be proud of. Together, we’ll grow your business or readership, and share your unique story with the big, bad world.
Used well, words are a powerful force - and well worth the investment if you ask me. But of course, I’m just a tad biased.
Looking forward to meeting you!
